George M. Hargraves

Private George M. Hargraves, 20, of Jefferson County, Kentucky, died of Pneumonia on 17 February 1917 while serving with Company G of the 1st Kentucky Infantry on active duty during Mexican Border Service at Fort Bliss, Texas. He enlisted 23 June 1916 and listed his occupation as box maker. He was a native of Kansas City, Missouri but had moved to Louisville when he joined the Kentucky National Guard. It is believed that his mother was a native of Edmonton County, Kentucky and was living there when he was buried at the Good Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
